Resistance to Permeation
Perimeter® nitrile gloves guard your skin from everyday household chemicals. One of the standard tests to interrogate this is the EN ISO 374-1:2016 Test for Resistance to Permeation.
Dangerous chemicals break through the glove material at molecular level, also known as diffusion. Our nitrile material formulation is designed to withstand chemical breakthrough so that your hand will stay protected even at molecular level against exposure to culprits such as bleach, ammonia, car fluids, drain cleaners, and more.
Here is a table summarizing our gloves' performance under EN ISO 374-1:2016
Chemical | CAS No. | Class | Performance Level | Breakthrough Time |
40% Sodium Hydroxide | 1310-73-2 | Inorganic Base | 6 | > 480 minutes |
30% Hydrogen Peroxide | 7722-84-1 | Peroxide | 3 | > 60 minutes |
25% Ammonium Hydroxide | 1336-21-6 | Organic Base | 1 | > 10 minutes |
37% Formaldehyde | 50-00-0 | Aldehyde | 5 | > 240 minutes |
